Job summary

West Virginia University Health System is seeking a Faculty Certified Nurse-Midwife to practice in Morgantown, WV. The role includes full-scope midwifery care and collaboration with OB/GYN physicians within WVU Medicine and its affiliated centers.

The candidate will teach medical students, residents, and midwifery and nursing students, contributing to the educational mission of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse-Midwifery from ACME-accredited program.
• Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) credential.
• BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Eligible for West Virginia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license with prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope nurse-midwifery care: prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum.
• Labor and delivery management and newborn care.
• Gynecologic and well-woman care across the lifespan, including family planning and menopause care.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN and care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Involve in teaching medical students, residents, and midwifery/nursing students.
