Job summary

UHA University Health Associates in Morgantown, West Virginia, seeks a Faculty Certified Nurse-Midwife to join the WVU Medicine Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.

The successful candidate will practice full-scope nurse-midwifery and contribute to an academic medical center. The role includes prenatal to postpartum care, labor and delivery management, newborn care, and gynecologic/well-person care.

Qualifications

Must have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse-Midwifery from ACME-accredited program.
Eligible for WV Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license with prescriptive authority.
Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) by AMCB; current BLS and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

Practice full-scope nurse-midwifery including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
Labor and delivery management and newborn care in the immediate postpartum period.
Gynecologic and well-person care across lifespan including family planning, preconception counseling, and menopause care.
Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and the care team; share call responsibilities; teach medical students, residents, and midwifery/nursing students.
