The West Virginia University Health System, the state's largest health system, seeks a Faculty Certified Nurse-Midwife to practice in Morgantown, WV. The role includes full-scope nurse-midwifery across prenatal to postpartum care and collaboration with OB/GYN physicians with teaching duties for students and residents.

Travel to additional WV, MD, and PA sites may be required; opportunities to contribute to education and patient-centered care within a nationally recognized academic medical center

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse-Midwifery from ACME-accredited program.
• Eligible for West Virginia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license with prescriptive authority.
• Certified as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) by the AMCB; current BLS and NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope nurse-midwifery care: prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic and well-person care across the lifespan.
• Labor and delivery management and newborn care in the immediate postpartum period.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across WV and surrounding region.
• Participate in teaching medical students, residents, midwifery, and nursing students; share in call responsibilities.
