Stanford University School of Medicine seeks a Faculty Affairs Administrator 2 to oversee faculty affairs for Clinician Educator and Instructor ranks. This role coordinates appointments, reappointments, promotions, and other personnel actions within a large, dynamic academic community.

The position offers exposure to department-level decision making and opportunities to develop broad expertise in faculty affairs within a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of experience with administrative processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support and guidance to search/review committees and suggest process improvements.
• Document and interpret policies for appointment/promotion materials.
• Manage review, promotion, and search processes, including marketing and recruiting; prepare reports and documents.
• Identify problematic information in letters and advise on resolution; may approve appointments/reappointments.
• Prepare offer letters for chair or dean when needed.
• Serve as onboarding contact for new faculty and oversee visa matters; advise on policy.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with faculty policies led by Office of Faculty Advancement.
