AEP is seeking a Field Technologist to support the commissioning, operation, testing and maintenance of FACTS and HVDC facilities in New Albany, OH and Dublin, OH. You will work with STATCOMs, SVCs, series capacitors, synchronous condensers and energy storage systems to ensure reliable transmission grid operation.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering ABET-accredited and 2+ years of related experience, with the Physical Abilities Test (PAT) and willingness to work at multiple

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering ABET-accredited.
• Has typically acquired 2+ years of related experience in engineering technology principles.
• Must successfully complete the Physical Abilities Test (PAT).

Responsabilidades

• Perform commissioning, operation, testing and maintenance of FACTS and HVDC facilities.
• Assist in testing and calibration of FACTS controllers and related equipment; perform verification and trip testing.
• Lead on-site activities for installation and commissioning of new FACTS equipment; troubleshoot and repair devices and controls.
