American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking engineers to support the commissioning, operation, testing and maintenance of FACTS and HVDC facilities, including STATCOMs, SVCs, Series Capacitors, Synchronous Condensers and ESS. You will read schematics, work with vendors, and lead on-site activities for new equipment installation.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in ABET-accredited engineering, 2+ years' related experience, and successful completion of the Physical Abilities Test (PAT).

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 2+ years of related engineering technology work experience.
• Must successfully complete the Physical Abilities Test (PAT).

Mansioni

• Perform commissioning, operation, testing and maintenance of FACTS and HVDC facilities.
• Lead on-site activities for installation and commissioning of new FACTS equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of FACTS devices and relays.
• Read electrical schematics and vendor documents to support operation and maintenance.
• Coordinate annual maintenance work plans and provide on-site technical support.
