Job summary

Nox Metals is hiring Factory Technicians in Detroit, MI to cut, inspect, and ship aluminum for aerospace and defense customers. You will operate saws and CNC equipment, log every measurement, and ensure shipments go out correctly. This hands-on role includes training and certification, with shifts across weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems.
• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to spec.
• Run forklifts and overhead cranes; include training and certification when provided.
• Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision.
• Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders.
• Package, label, and stage outbound shipments.
• Record cut data and job completions in our software systems, accurately, every time.
• Look at every process and figure out how to make it better.
• Keep the floor clean, organized, and ready for the next job.
• Work safely every shift and hold teammates to the same standard.

We’re a technology company in Metro Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.

The role.

We’re hiring Factory Technicians to cut, inspect, and ship the aluminum our aerospace and defense customers build with. You will run our saws to cut plate, bar, and rounds to spec. Every cut gets measured, every job gets logged, and every shipment goes out right. This is a hands on job with real equipment and real software. We’ll train and certify you, and you’ll learn how a modern metals operation runs from receiving to shipping. You report to your Shift Lead. Shift hours:

Weekdays, First Shift: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Weekdays, Second Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM

Weekends, First Shift: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Weekends, Second Shift: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

You will:

You are:

• Knowledgeable or experienced in a factory, metals center, or with skilled trades
• Committed to safety
• Attentive with regards to quality, every cut, every cert, every shipment

• Precise under pressure and reliable
• Comfortable with software

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., operate heavy equipment and be on your feet for a full shift with or without reasonable accommodation
• Not afraid to work outside normal hours when America demands it

Nice to have:

• Experience in metals, aluminum, or aerospace/defense supply chains
• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
• Background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter
