Job summary

Fortifi Food Processing Solutions is seeking a design engineer to create efficient factory layouts using AutoCAD 2D, Inventor, and Navisworks. You will draft 3D elevations, prepare detailed equipment lists, and integrate electrical components into projects with cross-department collaboration.

The role requires strong skills in 2D/3D drawing interpretation, ERP familiarity (Microsoft AX), and a focus on safety and cost-effective design for North American projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Autodesk suite for 2D/3D design and drafting.
• Experience reading and interpreting 2D and 3D drawings.
• Familiar with ERP systems and BOM processes for project estimating.

Responsibilities

• Design factory layouts meeting customer requirements and safety standards to minimize costs and timelines.
• Create detailed 3D elevations using Inventor and Factory Design tools.
• Prepare BOMs and equipment lists for estimating and bidding.
• Integrate electrical components from provided layout and Excel spreadsheets into projects.
• Release items for production in the ERP system (Microsoft AX).
• Collaborate with sales engineering to present layouts and ensure spec compliance.
• Organize meetings and coordinate with multiple departments; occasional client visits in North America.
