Siemens Energy is building a new Large Power Transformer factory in Charlotte, NC, and seeks a Factory Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations that connect MES, SAP, PLM, and IIoT sources. You will enable a data cloud foundation for analytics, digital manufacturing, and reporting, while ensuring data quality, access controls, and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, systems integration, or related field.
• Hands-on in data pipelines, integrations, and scalable data infra.
• Knowledge of SQL, APIs, data platforms, and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines for factory operations.
• Connect data sources including MES, SAP, PLM, IIoT connectors, and APIs.
• Enable the Factory Data Cloud with dependable data flows and analytics readiness.
• Improve data accessibility with proper access controls and documentation.
• Ensure data quality via checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data issues.
• Collaborate with Digital Transformation, IT, and operations teams to translate needs into data solutions.
