Job summary

OMG Technology is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines for manufacturing quality assurance and process automation. You will integrate MES, ERP, quality systems, and IoT data, build data warehouses and lakehouse architectures, and enforce governance and data security across assets.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering or manufacturing analytics, hands-on SQL, ETL/ELT, Power BI, and automation with UiPath or Power Automate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Manufacturing Analytics, Quality Systems, or Automation.
• Hands-on experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment.
• Strong understanding of Manufacturing Quality / QA processes, including CAPA and process validation.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization.
• Experience with UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Automate.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain processes.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Programming experience in Python, PySpark, or similar technologies.
• Experience with data validation, data quality, governance, and testing.
• Ability to work 5 days onsite in Greenville, NC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Integrate data from MES, ERP, quality systems, IoT devices, and enterprise apps.
• Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, governance, and security across data assets.
• Optimize data processing workflows for performance and reliability.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality datasets to identify trends and process improvements.
• Support quality initiatives with data validation, root cause analysis, and KPI tracking.
• Build manufacturing quality metrics and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with QA teams to implement automated monitoring and data quality checks.
• Design and develop RPA solutions using UiPath and/or Power Automate.
• Automate manual business and quality processes to boost productivity.
• Integrate automation workflows with ERP, SharePoint, Teams, and other tools.
• Monitor and improve automation performance and reliability.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and reports for manufacturing and quality teams.
• Create semantic models, DAX calculations, KPIs, and drill-down analytics.
• Enable self-service reporting and insights through governed analytics.
• Optimize Power BI report performance and governance.
