Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions supporting manufacturing and engineering teams. You will build curated datasets and data products enabling reliable reporting and self-service analytics.

You will develop software tools for manufacturing operations, contribute to MES solutions, and work with Ignition/Sepasoft platforms, SQL databases, and AWS services. A strong automation mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python for software development, automation, and data processing.
• Strong SQL and relational database design experience.
• Experience designing and supporting production data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, QuickSight).
• Experience with Ignition and Sepasoft MES platforms.
• Source control with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions for manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Build curated datasets and data products enabling reliable reporting and self-service analytics.
• Develop software and automation tools supporting manufacturing operations and data collection systems.
• Support MES and manufacturing software solutions, including Ignition Perspective screens and system integrations.
• Design and implement solutions for storing, visualizing, and analyzing metrology and image data.
• Apply software engineering best practices including version control, testing, and documentation.
