Job summary

American Momentum Bank in Midland Downtown seeks an Area Business Development Officer to originate new factoring accounts, build and maintain relationships with referral sources, and assist in underwriting for client proposals.

The role requires proactive daily client and referrer engagement, data entry for pipeline tracking, and monthly reporting to executives. A strong sales/customer service background and 2+ years in related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in sales is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, with a working knowledge of the factoring industry preferred.
• Experience in factoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate new factoring accounts in line with the company’s credit policy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources and centers of influence.
• Assist in underwriting of new client proposals and seek approval from Executive Management for new client transactions.
• Daily contact with potential and current clients and referral sources.
• Develop community involvement to build brand awareness in the community.
• Obtain new factoring relationships and retain existing ones.
• Review application and initial documents submitted to underwriting for completion and accuracy.
• Enter data into software to track pipeline and submit monthly to Executive Management.
• Negotiate price and structure of new transactions within set limits.
