The Facility Trades Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, safety, and reliability of multiple facilities. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinates vendors, manages work orders, ensures regulatory compliance, and helps control operating costs across all locations.

Essential Functions

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment within electrical, plumbing, lighting, carpentry, building envelope, landscaping, and janitorial areas.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify issues before failure occurs
• Maintain and follow maintenance schedules using work order systems
• Extend asset life through proper servicing and monitoring
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Respond quickly to urgent and emergency maintenance requests
• Support maintenance needs across multiple facilities and locations
• Supervise third-party contractors and service providers
• Obtain and compare service quotes and proposals
• Ensure work quality, safety, and compliance with company standards
• Help to ensure facilities meet OSHA, fire code, and local safety regulations
• Maintain inspection logs and compliance documentation
• Provide on-call support for facility emergencies when required
• Track maintenance expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications and Experience

At least 60 college level credit hours and previous experience and/or training involving client service, general office work, cashiering, data entry, and personal computer operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.

• Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands‑on repairs

Work Conditions

• Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to lift 50 or more pounds, and require use of ladders, tools, and other repair equipment as needed.
• Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments
• Exposure to mechanical equipment and maintenance tools
• Travel between facilities may be required
• Occasional on‑call or after‑hours support
