Job summary

Laramie County School District 1 is seeking a Facility Technician for Integrated Trades in Cheyenne, WY. Immediate starting date with 260-day schedule and $20.31/hour pay, plus benefits. Responsibilities

  • Perform landscaping to maintain school grounds, playgrounds, and athletic fields.

  • Prepare documentation for work orders and reports.
  • Assist with installation of playground equipment, fencing, signs, and drainage features.

Job Title: Integrated Trades – Grounds

SUMMARY: this position is responsible for maintaining facilities in safe operating condition; assisting with a wide variety of skilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, concrete, landscaping, painting, etc.); addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; performing specific skilled duties that are pertinent to the completion of diverse projects; ensuring adequate materials are available to complete assignments in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily.   • 1. Performs a variety of landscaping activities (e.g. mowing, planting, spraying weeds, fertilizing, raking leaves, etc.) to maintain school grounds., playgrounds and athletic fields. D

Assists with the installation of a variety of objects and systems (e.g. playground equipment, chain link fence, snow fence, traffic signs and poles, traffic control barriers, concrete, slope paving, drain pans, concrete flumes, etc.) to establish positive drainage and maintaining facilities in a safe, comfortable and operating condition. Education and Related Work Experience
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required
  • No experience required, but 1-year experience in grounds maintenance or construction, preferred
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
  • Criminal background check required for hire.
  • Valid state issued Driver’s License, required
  • Must obtain and maintain Defensive Driving certificate by the conclusion of the district-provided training course
  • Pesticide Applicators License, preferred, but not required
