Job summary

Sutter Health in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to conduct daily inspections of equipment spaces, document status, and ensure proper operation of plant equipment and medical gas systems. You will manage furniture inventory and prepare spaces for new hires.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required or demonstrated by experience.
• 2 years recent relevant experience preferred.
• DL-Valid Driver's License is required.
• Must read and write to understand equipment operating instructions and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily inspections of equipment spaces and documents operational status.

• Manages furniture inventory and coordinates new employee needs and space configurations.
• Prepares cubes/offices for new employees and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance and routine repairs.

Position Overview

Conducts daily inspections of equipment spaces, documents operational status and ensures proper operation of all plant equipment, medical gas systems, utility services and backup systems. Manages furniture inventory including coordinating requests for furniture reconfigurations and coordinating new employee needs. Prepares cubes/offices for new employees. Performs assigned normal and urgent repairs. Completes basic preventative maintenance.

Ability to read and write in order to understand equipment operating instructions and maintains logs and records of work performed, and to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturers’ specifications in order to perform preventive maintenance.

Pay Range is $50.14 to $70.19 / hour
