WEIR in Newton, MS is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to support fabrication, repairs, and safety compliance in a mining technology environment. The role focuses on metal fabrication, welding, plumbing, and preventive maintenance to keep the facility running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Highschool or GED required.
• Proficiency in torch cutting, stick welding and metal fabrication.
• Strong troubleshooting and plumbing knowledge.
• Ability to read and use technical manuals for repairs.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding to produce guards, platforms, and rails.
• Repair plumbing and septic systems; perform preventive maintenance on pumps and motors.
• Safety inspections of fire systems and safety equipment; document data.
• Electrical and other non-core support to maintain facilities.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and zero-harm mindset.
