Job summary

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, perform general building maintenance, and keep precise maintenance records while coordinating with site managers. Travel between sites and occasional after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

Role Description

The Facility Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Virginia Beach, VA, Norfolk, Suffolk, and surrounding area. You are responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance needs of multiple restaurant locations. This responds to repair requests to minimize downtimeof equipment. Typical tasks include diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues;and kitchen and HVAC equipment; and performing general building repairs, such as lighting, doors, and fixtures. The Facility Technician coordinates with restaurant managers to prioritize work orders, keeps accurate maintenance records, and follows safety and cleanliness standards. The role involves travel between local restaurant sites and occasional work outside standard business hours to address urgent issues.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for commercial kitchen and building systems. This includes ovens, fryers, toasters, refrigeration and freezer repairs.


• Candidates should possess skills in Facility equipment repairs.


• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently.


• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; ability to use hand and power tools safely.


• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant trade is preferred.


• Ability to travel between local sites, lift moderate weights, and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed. You will need to be on top of restautant roofs.


• Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with on-site teams.


• Previous experience in facilities or maintenance roles within retail, restaurant, or commercial environments is beneficial.
