Job summary

Campero USA Corp. in Los Angeles seeks a Facilities Specialist to maintain restaurant facilities and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operations and regulatory compliance across sites.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, kitchen appliances, and HVAC, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, and keep accurate maintenance records while supporting on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in restaurant or commercial facilities.
• 2–3 years of experience using a CMMS/work order system.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
• Experience maintaining commercial kitchen equipment (fryers, ovens, walk-in coolers).
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between restaurant locations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance work.
• Strong troubleshooting, time management, and communication skills.
• EPA certification or HVAC training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and timely corrective repairs on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Work on kitchen equipment such as fryers, walk-in coolers, reach-in/under counter/hot ovens.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance issues.
• Diagnose basic HVAC repairs such as filter changes, belt replacements, compressors.
• Conduct facility inspections, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to maintenance requests and service calls promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire/life safety requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate with external vendors and monitor quality of work.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and materials used.
• Support emergency repairs and on-call coverage as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Facilities Specialist is responsible for performing a wide range of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facilities and equipment. This role ensures buildings, systems, and assets are maintained to company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.

The Facilities Specialist works independently and in coordination with management, vendors, and operations teams to minimize downtime, address repair needs, and support a positive guest and employee experience.

The position includes but is not limited to the following key responsibilities:
