Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering; substitution allowed for relevant experience
• Five years of civil engineering workorder integration and resource management experience
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to prepare cost estimates and statements of work; review contractor quotes and technical docs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project; drafting programs
• Ability to mentor/train team members and adapt to changing workloads
• Knowledge of DoD transportation logistics systems

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SSPARS contractor support of facility/system integration efforts
• Support facility systems integration including coordinating, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Ensure all work complies with project requirements
• Organize and implement construction programs assigned to this position
• Assist with management, scheduling and execution of projects
• Assist with strategic planning, database support, training, drafting procedures, and budget submittals
• Prepare cost estimates and statements of work
• Evaluate contractor proposals
• Review documents for technical adequacy and assist with technical manuals
• Maintain communication with Project Manager and client as main contact
• Provide technical expertise to assigned tasks/projects
• Conduct assigned technical work within budget and schedule
• Attend/organize meetings with base customer
• Perform other duties as required
