Job summary

Versar Global Solutions seeks a skilled Facility Space Planner to manage HQ DAF space planning across the Pentagon and NCR. The role requires coordinating real property programs, conducting on-site assessments, and ensuring compliance with SAF/AA, OSD, and GSA guidance.

The candidate should bring 5+ years in federal space or facilities management, strong analytics, and excellent communication. The position is onsite in Arlington, VA with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Facilities Management, Business, Public Administration, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or related field.
• 5+ years experience supporting DoD/DAF, DoW, or federal space or real property programs.
• Knowledge of HQ DAF, OSD, GSA, and WHS space management policies and reporting requirements.
• Experience coordinating relocations, space planning, utilization analysis, and facilities management in the NCR.
• Experience developing policies and SOPs for space and facilities management.
• Experience supporting budget planning, POM submissions, lease management, and real property accountability.
• Ability to analyze complex space utilization and propose strategic solutions.
• Experience preparing reports and executive-level correspondence for leadership.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Secret clearance required.
• PowerBI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, and coordinate real property and space management programs for HQ DAF mission requirements.
• Conduct interviews, on-site inspections, and space validation assessments per SAF/AA, OSD, and GSA policies.
• Analyze space utilization to optimize efficiency and support mission objectives.
• Develop procedures and guidance for space allocation and management based on policy and industry best practices.
• Manage office, storage, and special use space for HQ DAF offices and DRUs/FOAs in the NCR.
• Support real property acquisitions, disposals, lease management, and budget reporting.
• Prepare documentation for WHS space requests and OSD approvals.
• Coordinate relocation plans and staff support during moves.
