Job summary

Paycom is seeking an advanced Facility Service Technician to maintain AMFEMS buildings and grounds. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors for repairs.

The role requires 3+ years in building maintenance, strong safety compliance, and the ability to read technical manuals and schematics. A valid driver’s license and proficient use of tablets and CMMS software are essential.

Position PurposeUnder the general supervision of the Facility Service Technician II, Facility Service Technician I serves as an advanced-level technician responsible for maintaining AMFEMS buildings and grounds in optimal condition. This position requires proficiency in complex facility systems, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to coordinate projects, vendors, and preventive maintenance schedules with minimal oversight.Minimum QualificationsA. High school diploma or equivalent.B. Minimum 21 years of age.C. Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to operate district vehicles in compliance with department insurance requirements.D. Demonstrated advanced mechanical aptitude.E. Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable work experience in building maintenance, construction, or facility operations.F. Proficiency in operating, troubleshooting, and repairing facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).G. Strong written and verbal communication skills.H. Proficiency with computers, tablets (iPads), and scheduling/maintenance management software.I. Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records, logs, and reports.J. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and building system diagrams.K. Ability to understand and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and comply with safety policies.Desirable QualificationsA. Relevant trade certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or commercial facility management.B. Experience supervising vendors or coordinating facility projects.C.
