POSITION: Maintenance TechnicianDEPARTMENT: OperationsREPORTS TO: Director of OperationsFLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptSummary:Responsible for performing routine facility maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.); Perform general cleaning. Perform other tasks as assigned.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform minor electrical maintenance, to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, kitchen appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.Troubleshooting and repairing of facility support equipment.Industrial Appliance RepairPerform minor carpentry repairs: sheet rock, etc.Perform minor to moderate-level plumbing repairs and replacement/installation, including repairing leaks in toilets and sinks, and unclogging toilets.Complete work orders in an efficient and timely manner.Performs preventative maintenance of assigned equipment and systems.Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to supervisor.Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
