GEO Reentry Services LLC. in Scranton is seeking a Monitor to help secure the facility and its residents, operating under legal and contract requirements.

You will handle shift documentation, conduct patrols, perform counts, and coordinate with staff to maintain safety, discipline, and order across the site.

This role requires a high school diploma, reliability, and the ability to work flexible shifts to support 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of general work experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to keep workflow orderly.
• Ability to express thoughts clearly in written and verbal form.
• Flexibility to perform a wide range of duties.
• Ability to interact effectively with staff and residents.
• Ability to maintain positive relations with colleagues and residents.
• Proficiency with computer-based systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security and safety of residents and facility.
• Prepare shift documentation, reports, and logs as required.
• Receive information from previous shift and communicate it to the team.
• Conduct routine and random security checks and counts.
• Conduct building patrols and ensure doors and windows are secured.
• Document disciplinary actions per procedures.
• Perform cleanliness checks of facility and resident belongings.
• Welcome visitors and verify identities.
• Communicate professionally with residents and staff to promote teamwork.
• Attend staff meetings and share observations to improve operations.
