Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year general work experience.
• Sufficient organizational skills to keep the workflow on-going in an orderly manner.
• Ability to express thoughts logically, in both written and verbal form using correct grammar.
• Demonstrated flexibility to perform a wide range of duties.
• Ability to interact effectively with others and learn supervisory techniques.
• Ability to maintain positive relations with staff and residents.
• Ability to motivate and create an atmosphere of enthusiasm toward work ethic.
• Ability to work with computers and applicable software used by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintains continuous state of alertness and awareness to control and secure the facility and residents.
• Relieves watch and documents shift information; prepares shift reports and logs.
• Conducts radio checks and counts; ensures building logs are accurate.
• Patrols building to observe residents and monitors entry points for safety.
• Organizes and supervises resident work details to maintain facility cleanliness.
• Performs urinalysis testing, security checks, counts, and related duties.
• Documents disciplinary actions and logs accordingly.
• Ensures health and environmental standards for rooms and belongings.
• Welcomes visitors and verifies identities; maintains professionalism.
• Communicates with residents and staff to promote respect and cooperation.
• Participates in staff meetings to identify problems and propose improvements.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to policies in the handbook and procedures.
