GEO Reentry Services LLC. is hiring for a security/monitoring role focused on keeping the facility and residents safe. You will manage watches, perform counts, and maintain logs while coordinating with staff to ensure compliance with policies and security protocols.

The position emphasizes strong organizational skills, flexibility, and professional interaction with residents and team members. You will support daily operations, training, and safety initiatives in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of general work experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain orderly workflow.
• Ability to express thoughts clearly in written and verbal form.
• Demonstrated flexibility to perform varied duties.
• Ability to interact effectively with staff and residents.
• Ability to motivate others and foster a positive work environment.
• Ability to work with computers and standard facility software.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment for each watch is operational and prepares shift documentation.
• Relieves the watch and logs time, name and title in the security log.
• Conducts radio checks and facility counts; maintains accuracy of logbooks.
• Patrols the building to monitor residents and security of doors and windows.
• Ensures the resident picture board is complete and beds are correctly assigned.
• Organizes and supervises resident work details to maintain facility cleanliness.
• Performs routine checks such as urinalysis, pat-downs, shakedowns, counts and breath tests.
• Documents disciplinary actions according to procedure and logs accordingly.
• Cares for cleanliness of facility and residents' belongings to meet health standards.
• Welcomes visitors and verifies identity; maintains professionalism.
• Participates in staff meetings to discuss observations and improve operations.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows company policies and procedures.
