Job summary

Bridge Defense in Washington, D.C. seeks a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage the security program for a cleared facility under NISPOM.

You will be the primary point of contact for all security matters, ensuring compliance with DoD and federal regulations while supporting personnel, physical, and information security programs. The successful candidate will administer day-to-day operations, process clearance actions, conduct security education, and coordinate with the DCSA and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years facility/security experience.
• Active TOP SECRET clearance required.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA policies, and security processes.
• Hands-on experience with DISS/NBIS, e-QIP, and other government security systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Onsite full-time in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Administer the facility security program per NISPOM and DoD directives.
• Process personnel security clearance requests and reinvestigations using DISS/NBIS.
• Manage the facility profile in NISS, including DD254 management and security reviews.
• Conduct new-hire security indoctrinations and ongoing security training.
• Maintain accountability of classified material and coordinate visitor control.
• Coordinate with DCSA representatives and leadership on security matters.
• Conduct periodic self-inspections and develop corrective action plans.
• Maintain records in DISS/NBIS and track clearance status.
• Support security SOPs, plans, and special programs as needed.
