Job summary

GSSC (DBA Midwest Patrol) in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Security Officer to protect a government facility. You will perform interior and exterior patrols, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, maintain a visible professional presence, respond to calls, document incidents, and enforce client security procedures.

You will work Sunday-Tuesday 3pm-11pm and Thursday-Friday 11pm-7am, totaling 40 hours weekly. The role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and compliance with all laws and client contracts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• A US Citizen or Alien lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass State & Federal background checks and drug screen.
• Ability to meet and maintain licensing requirements.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), administrative, customer service and organizational skills.
• Must successfully complete GSSC Basic Training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking.
• Professional and positive attitude with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities at an assigned client site, ensuring security of property and personnel.
• Performs regular interior and exterior patrols, checks for hazards and unauthorized persons.
• Monitors CCTV and alarm systems to identify security concerns and respond per Post Orders.
• Maintains accurate records of calls, radio communications, dispatches, and security events.
• Enforces security policies and procedures and provides excellent customer service.
• Engages professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, contractors and the public.
• Creates a positive team environment and adheres to client contracts and regulations.
