Job summary

SAIC Security is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the Middletown, RI facility. The FSO will manage facility clearance, coordinate inspections with DCSA, enforce 32 CFR Part 117/NISPOM, and ensure compliance with SAIC security policies while supporting onboarding and security training.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, TS clearance, and DSCA FSO certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months); prior COMSEC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of security experience; 4 extra years may substitute for a degree.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
• DSCA FSO certification (current or within 6 months of hire).
• Experience designing/executing security programs per 32 CFR Part 117/NISPOM.
• Familiarity with DoD 5205.07.
• Proficiency with ICD-705 (Physical Security).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Facility Security Officer for assigned facilities/programs/customers.
• Maintain the facility clearance and associated cage code.
• Coordinate with DCSA on inspections and violations.
• Work with SMO, PMs, and program teams on security aspects.
• Monitor government systems and internal databases for data accuracy.
• Process visit requests and enforce visitor access.
• Conduct annual NISP self-inspections; participate in peer inspections.
• Collaborate on security issues and process improvements.
• Coordinate with centralized personnel security on clearance processing.
• Implement Security Education, Training, and Awareness programs.
• Review DD254s to identify security requirements.
• Provide proposal security support to business groups.
• Support onboarding/offboarding security for employees.
• Attend security trainings and SAIC meetings as directed.
• Report violations to DCSA and maintain site documentation.
• Oversee site security technologies and guard services.
