Job summary

Peraton is seeking a dynamic Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to ensure full-scope program support in Woodbridge and Basking Ridge, NJ. You will oversee clearance processing, SAP program security, and security education for cleared staff while maintaining compliance with NISPOM and DoD manuals.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance, 8+ years of experience with a BS/BA or 6+ years with an MS/MA, and experience with DOD processes.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years with BS/BA or 6+ years with MS/MA.
• 12+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Top Secret clearance required.
• Experience with DOD processes and procedures or equivalent regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of NISPOM, DoD Security Manuals, COMSEC, and SAP manuals.
• Ability to identify issues and develop solutions; strong written and oral communication.
• Proficiency with security documentation and reporting; independent and team work.
• SIMS/DISS/NBIS/JADE familiarity encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of processing new employee security clearances, tracking in DISS/NBIS.
• Oversee SAP program security documentation and maintenance.
• Administer SAPF area and respond to after-hours alarms and emergencies.
• Lead security education and awareness programs and briefings.
• Conduct periodic internal and external security self-inspections and reporting.
• Communicate security procedures to employees and subcontractors; support project managers.
• Maintain security documentation and files using SIMS; ensure compliance.
• Interact with DCSA and other agencies; manage program interfaces.
