About the Role

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support our Senior FSO in managing compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). The FSO will handle personnel security processing, security administration, and facility compliance to ensure adherence to DoD and Intelligence Community security regulations.

Location & Clearance

This position is onsite in Herndon and requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI and Poly.

Responsibilities

1. Personnel Security Administration
   • Process and track security clearance applications, reinvestigations, and visit authorization letters (VALs).
   • Maintain personnel security records, ensuring compliance with DISS, NBIS, NISS, and other government security databases.
   • Conduct security clearance verifications and assist in managing security incidents and reports.
   • Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel.
   • Process outgoing and incoming visit requests and certifications.
   • Submit SCI Nomination packages to government customers.
2. Facility and Information Security Support
   • Assist with managing personnel, information, and physical security programs at our facilities.
   • Support development and execution of security policies, procedures, and training in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM).
   • Assist in self-inspections, audits, and security assessments.
   • Support building access control, badge issuance, and access logs.
   • Conduct quarterly facility inspections and baggage checks.
   • Assist with Open/Close procedures for classified areas.
3. Security Operations & Compliance
   • Support compliance with security policies, insider threat, and foreign travel briefings.
   • Manage DD-254s and subcontract security requirements.
   • Facilitate classified meetings and security administration.
   • Act as liaison with DCSA, government, and internal stakeholders.
   • Safeguard classified documents according to NISPOM and coordinate with agencies.
   • Maintain shipping, storage, and maintenance of classified materials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in facility/industrial security within NISP.
• Familiarity with DISS, e-QIP, NISS, SWFT, and Sign in Compliance.
• Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), personnel security, and facility clearance management.
• Experience with DD-254s and security subcontracts.
• Strong organizational skills and handling sensitive information.
• Understanding of SEAD 3 and SEAD 4.
• Excellent communication skills.
• F SO Program Management certification (CDSE).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DoD R&D programs.
• Knowledge of SAPs and SAPFs.
• Experience with Sign In Compliance (Threatswitch).
• Familiarity with CUI security requirements.
• Exceptional record-keeping skills.

Additional Information
