Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in the Baltimore area is seeking a talented Facility Security Officer (FSO) / Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to support our Industrial Security program for DoD and Intelligence Community clients. You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for maintaining a compliant security posture and safeguarding sensitive information.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years handling classified materials, active DoD Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI possible) and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; relevant experience may substitute.
• CDSE FSO Program Management completion or ability to obtain before start date.
• 5+ years of experience working with classified documents or in a classified environment.
• 2+ years as Facility Security Officer or similar role.
• Experience with personnel file databases.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Industrial Security program per NISPOM and client requirements.
• Serve as liaison with DCSA and client security offices.
• Develop and maintain security SOPs, EAPs, and policies.
• Manage personnel security clearances and SIMS records.
• Conduct security education and training including annual refresher and OPSEC.
• Maintain Insider Threat Program.
• Oversee day-to-day classified work in secure spaces and policy manuals.
• Coordinate inspections with DCSA and client personnel.
• Review and prepare DD254s and other security documents.
• Coordinate accreditation of information systems with ISSM/ISSO.
• Mentor AFSO.
