Albany Engineered Composites, Inc. is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) for its Advanced Programs business located in Rochester, NH.
The FSO will be responsible for implementing the industrial security program, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies, and managing security activities related to highly sensitive DoD or other industrial security programs. Key duties include overseeing classified document handling, facility access controls, visitor management, security education, and awareness. The role requires a thorough understanding of security databases such as DISS, NISS, and NBIS, and knowledge of security forms including SF-86, SF-312, DD-254, SF700, SF701, and SF702. Familiarity with TCP and OPSEC controls is also essential.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as Key Management Personnel (KMP) and Insider Threat Program (ITP) Senior Official, overseeing related responsibilities and training.
- Implement and supervise security measures to comply with USG security requirements, protecting classified information.
- Ensure compliance with NISPOM and DD254 contract security requirements.
- Manage daily security operations, including personnel processing, audits, document control, incident investigations, and visitor logs.
- Conduct security self-inspections, risk assessments, and support customer evaluations.
- Advise staff on security policies and recommend procedural modifications as needed.
- Coordinate security actions with DoD and USG counterparts, including preparing DD254s and security documentation.
- Maintain security records per DCSA or CSA standards and oversee classified system security in collaboration with ISSM.
- Review contracts and DD254s involving classified work, and conduct threat assessments.
- Manage personnel security clearances, including initial processing, reinvestigations, and security briefings.
- Conduct employee security briefings, exit interviews, and investigate security incidents.
- Prepare documentation for audits and provide security support to HR, recruiting, and proposal teams.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Active DCSA FSO Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an FSO in a cleared defense contractor environment.
- Experience with classification management and compliance with DoD security regulations.
- Proven track record in security policy implementation, audits, and government assessments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Active in-scope SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial security administration and government databases (DISS, NISS, NBIS).
- Familiarity with DCSA processes and security regulations including 32CFR Part 117 NISPOM.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with leadership and DCSA relationships.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
