Job summary

The University of New Hampshire, located in Durham, seeks a Campus Recreation professional to maximize facility scheduling, meet client needs, and fulfill event logistics for safe, positive guest experiences.

Primary duties include leading all-facility scheduling, coordinating requests, and managing external rentals with timely invoicing and staff coordination. This role supports the Division of Student Life and university committees to promote successful campus events.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred or 1-3 years of relevant experience in facility management.
  • Collaboration skills with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external groups.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated effective use of software.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have valid driver license and/or qualify to drive university vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scheduling for all facilities managed by Campus Recreation.
  • Coordinate facility schedule process from requests to confirmations and changes.
  • Provide effective customer service when responding to requests.
  • Create estimates and agreements for external rental groups.
  • Track agreements including renter’s insurance and signatures.
  • Create, track and maintain invoices to each group in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to provide hourly staff for external groups.
  • Ensure cooperative relationships between user groups, departments and agencies.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders.
  • Attend select events to ensure events are successful.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Division of Student Life.

Job description

As a professional within the Campus Recreation Department, this position fills an important role to ensure the facility schedules are maximized, ensure client needs are met, and event logistics are fulfilled to host successful events that provide a safe, positive experience for guests.

Duties/Responsibilities

Lead for scheduling allfacilities managed by Campus Recreation (90%):

  • Coordinate facility schedule process from receiving requests, accommodating requests, deciding when to confirm requests, and making changes to reservations as requested.

  • Utilize effective customer service techniques when responding to requests.

  • Createestimates and agreementstoexternal rental groups.

  • Track agreement process includingrenter’sinsurance and signatures.

  • Create,trackandmaintainaccurateinvoices to each group intimelymanner.

  • Coordinate with colleagues to provide hourly staff for external groups who rent facilities.

  • Ensure cooperative relationships between various user groups,departmentsand agencies.

  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders.

  • Attend select events to ensureevents are successful.

  • Other duties as assigned as necessitated by the Division of Student Life.

Administrative duties (10%):

  • Manageuse of resources including funding, personnel, facilities, and time.

  • Serve on Campus Recreation and university committees.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to remaininthe forefront of the field.

  • AssistAssociate Directorwith projects as requested.

Requirements

Compensation Pay Range:

$17.57 - $28.96
