Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an experienced Facility Project Manager to oversee major district facility projects from inception to completion. You will develop specifications, manage bids, coordinate with engineers, contractors, and district staff, and ensure compliance with all codes and policies.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, management, or related field and at least three years of project management experience in a commercial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, management, or related discipline.
• Three (3) years related work experience managing facility projects in a commercial environment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Manage multiple projects which can exceed a million dollars in value.
• Ensure all work is compliant with district procedures and applicable regulations.
• Serve as subject matter expert to an assigned building trade and maintain knowledge of codes and best practices.
• Coordinate with internal staff and contractors to monitor project status and resolve issues.
• Manage project documentation including specifications, contracts, bid processes and closeout.
