Job summary

Vulcan Infrastructure and Power seeks a Facility Project Engineer to develop and execute capital, maintenance, and carbon-mitigation projects across the Dresden site—covering the 106 MW gas-fired power plant and the data center.

You will lead scoping, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and commissioning, coordinating internal teams and contractors to deliver safe, on-time, and within-budget work while improving reliability, efficiency, and emissions performance.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–7 years of project or plant engineering experience.
• Experience with scoping, cost estimating, scheduling and contractor management.
• Familiarity with carbon mitigation, emissions controls, or energy-efficiency projects is a plus.
• Experience with thermal performance/heat rate analysis or data center infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute capital, improvement, maintenance, and carbon mitigation projects across the power plant and data center, from concept through commissioning and closeout.
• Lead project scoping, engineering, cost estimating, scheduling, and budgeting; track and report project cost and schedule performance.
• Develop and execute carbon mitigation and emissions-reduction projects; track results against site goals.
• Serve as heat rate leader and SME for ETAPRO—monitoring, analyzing, and improving unit thermal efficiency.
