Job summary

Sheridan HR, on behalf of Vulcan Infrastructure and Power, seeks a Facility Project Engineer for Dresden, NY. You will lead capital, maintenance, and carbon-mitigation projects across a 106 MW power plant and co-located data center, coordinating with operations, vendors, and contractors to deliver safely, on time, and within budget.

The role requires 3–7 years in engineering, a technical background, and strong project-management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline; 3–7 years in project or plant engineering.
• Experience in capital, maintenance, reliability, or facility improvement projects.
• Experience in power-generation, data center, heavy-industrial, or similar complex facility environments.
• Experience with scoping, cost estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contractor management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through commissioning and closeout.
• Develop project scopes, engineering requirements, cost estimates, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Monitor costs, schedules, risks, and performance; provide updates to site leadership.
• Coordinate internal resources and external engineering firms, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to specifications and requirements.
• Support outage planning, execution, and post-outage activities.
• Oversee contractor performance, schedules, and quality of work.
• Maintain engineering records, documentation, and reporting.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, EHS, and data center teams on technical matters.
