Job summary

The Colorado Department of Corrections at the Sterling Correctional Facility seeks a Licensed Journeyman Plumber Lieutenant to lead plumbing and related trades. Qualifications

• Active Journeyman Plumber license required.
• Five (5) years of plumbing maintenance experience in residential/commercial settings.
• Experience supervising staff and inmate workers in a structured environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and plan projects with cost estimates.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and sanitary plumbing, HVAC and related systems in the facility.
• Supervise staff and inmate crews; train and mentor as needed.
• Coordinate with other trades; plan, estimate, and oversee projects from design to completion.
• Maintain records on projects, parts and equipment; manage budget and inventory.
• Respond to emergencies and uphold high security and safety standards.
