Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light in Detroit is seeking a Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, efficient facility performance. You will monitor staff and clients, provide guidance to Support Specialists, and maintain accurate shift documentation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, at least two years of supervisory experience, and working knowledge of addiction recovery. TB test and background clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in speech and writing (clear and concise).
• TB test and police clearance required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years practical supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of addiction recovery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Harbor Light facility and support staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding supervised staff.
• Monitor staff, clients, residents, and visitors.
• Provide supervision, training, direction and assistance to Support Specialists.
• Assist staff in maintaining order and efficiency in responsibilities.
• Investigate serious occurrences during shifts and report findings.
