Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Supervisor of Facility Operations to oversee maintenance and coordinate external contractors.

You will supervise staff, schedule preventive maintenance, inspect fire safety equipment, interview candidates, and ensure a safe, reliable environment for patients and staff. This full‑time day shift with on‑call rotation offers competitive benefits within a national hospital network.

Qualifications

• CPR certification and de-escalation training may be required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform maintenance and repair to facility and equipment by staff or contractors.
• Assess repair needs and secure appropriate contractors for plumbing, electrical, woodwork, tile, HVAC, etc.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and perform service on facility equipment.
• Complete regular inspections of fire prevention equipment (fire alarm systems, generator, filters, extinguishers).
• Interview prospective employees and ensure appropriate orientation for roles.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff and foster teamwork.
