Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an Incineration Operator for the El Dorado, AR team. You will monitor incineration units, document daily operations, and handle loading/unloading duties. The role requires mechanical aptitude, PLC/pump troubleshooting, and adherence to safety protocols.

The position involves rotating shifts and working with wastewater facility equipment. Prior plant experience and forklift operation are valued; excellent teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot pumps.
• 1+ years in plant experience preferred.
• 6 months operating heavy loader or similar equipment (e.g., skid steer, bucket loader).
• Must be safety oriented and able to work rotating day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate incineration units and monitor equipment per schedule.
• Move ash boxes using loaders and hook up tankers as needed.
• Troubleshoot loss of flow for pneumatics and pumps; document observations daily.
• Perform and document daily safety checks and maintain clean work area.

Job description

We are seeking a safely oriented mechanically inclined Incineration Operator for our El Dorado, AR team. You are monitoring and documenting the units on a schedule, utilizing loaders to move ash boxes, hook up tankers, trouble shoot loss of flow for pneumatics and other types of pumps.

Union Wage: $30.16hr

• Performs basic operations including opening and inspecting drums, tank farm truck loading/unloading, waste processing in facility compliance with segregation requirements, automated PLC controlled equipment and filter press operations.
• Meets/exceeds safety, compliance & production goals.
• Provides training and/or mentorship to other Facility Technicians.
• Completes and submits all associated paperwork for tracking various tanks and product.
• Ensures proper inventory warehousing, inventory scanning and utilization of WinWeb/ Comparable inventory enterprise program
• Operates a forklift, or heavy loader when necessary.
• Responsible for performing and documenting daily safety check prior to operating.
• Ensures, understands and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
