Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking an Assistant Administrator to oversee internal operations of the facility under the Administrator's direction. You will ensure compliance with Federal, State and local standards and Alden policies while guiding staff and directing daily activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, leadership and supervisory skills, and strong communication with residents, families and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Knowledge of Long-Term Care preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly and communicate effectively.
• Ability to deal tactfully and work with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must have patience, enthusiasm and a cheerful disposition.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and work harmoniously with all personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct facility programs and activities.
• Ensure all procedures follow established policies.
• Directly supervise employees and provide in-services training to staff.
• Identify problems and develop solutions with Alden Management Services.
• Ensure quality care is rendered.
• Facilitate admissions paperwork and communicate with home, hospital and other facilities.
• Represent the facility to clients, hospitals, and community agencies.
• Provide direction in the absence of the Administrator.
• Conduct annual reviews of policies, procedures, and job descriptions and recommend revisions.
• Oversee department dress code, staff meetings and continuing education programs.
• Assist in orientation and ongoing staff training.
• Attend department head, infection control and QA meetings.
