Job summary

Alden Management Services seeks a Maintenance Director to oversee the Maintenance Department in a long-term care facility, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliable operations. You will coordinate preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs, and manage budgets while collaborating with contractors and staff to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge and experience in all phases of building maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, facility safety, equipment maintenance, and training.
• Experience in estimating maintenance and repair costs.
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations which govern the long-term care industry.

Responsibilities

• Facility Safety: ensure safety standards and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Coordinate fire safety inspections and follow-ups on deficiencies.
• Schedule and manage facility safety inspections and corrective actions.
• Oversee facility maintenance and grounds per policy, procedures, and fiscal guidelines.
• Plan and manage a preventative maintenance program for safe operations.
• Coordinate and supervise repairs and major projects with staff and contractors.
• Provide training for personnel and residents related to safety and maintenance.
