Job summary

National Park Service at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is seeking a Supervisory Facility Operation Specialist to advise on maintenance and facility matters for the park's management team. The role may involve representing the Superintendent to other parks, regional staff, and agencies.

The incumbent will lead a comprehensive program covering maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and construction of park infrastructure, and oversee the Facilities and Maintenance division's staff and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the facility management expert and member of the park management team to develop and implement management strategies to meet parkwide priorities.
• Plans, directs, and completes a comprehensive program of maintenance, repair, rehabilitation and construction of infrastructure throughout the park.
• Exercises the full range of supervisory duties over employees within the Facilities and Maintenance division at the park.
• Develops and implements financial plans, staffing plans, and other related operational plans that are guided by parkwide priorities.
• Responsible for development and implementation of projects addressing park infrastructure.
