Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Facility Operations to oversee safe, efficient, and compliant facility and hub operations in a high-volume distribution environment. You will lead maintenance teams, manage budgets, ensure cold chain integrity, and drive continuous improvements using CMMS and automation technologies.

Qualifications

• 5 years of facilities management experience.
• 3 years working with refrigeration systems within cold chain distribution.
• Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, budgets, and vendor contracts.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with CMMS and basic data analytics to drive performance improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor maintenance, sanitation, refrigeration, and security maintenance teams.
• Oversee refrigeration systems to maintain cold chain integrity and respond to temperature excursions.
• Manage facility operations activities and capital projects, coordinating repairs and upgrades.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff; manage labor within budget and scheduling.
• Maintain relationships with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with certificates of insurance.
• Oversee asset inventory, life cycles, and replacement planning.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, GMP) and conduct internal audits.
• Develop and manage facility budgets and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with Safety for training, safety observations, and incident investigations.
