Job summary

US Foods is seeking a seasoned Facility Operations Manager to lead a multi-site maintenance team in a high-volume, temperature-controlled distribution environment. You will manage refrigeration systems, safety compliance, and budget-adjacent projects while partnering with QA, Safety, and vendor teams to ensure cold chain integrity and regulatory adherence.

This role requires 5 years in facilities management, strong CMMS skills, and a track record of budget control and vendor management.

Qualifications

• 5 years of facilities management experience.
• 3 years working with refrigeration systems within cold chain distribution.
• Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, budgets, and vendor contracts.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, GMP, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with CMMS and basic data analytics to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor maintenance teams for building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, and security maintenance using PM schedules.
• Oversee refrigeration systems to maintain temperature control standards for perishable products.
• Manage facility operations activities and capital projects, ensuring timely, high-quality completion.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff performance; manage labor hours and schedules.
• Establish relationships with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with insurance and contracts.
• Develop and manage facility budgets and capital expenditures; pursue cost-reduction and energy efficiency initiatives.
