Job summary

Program Support Center in Rockville, MD, is seeking a Facility Operations Specialist to oversee maintenance and contractor performance across DHHS facilities. You will act as a Contracting Officer's Representative/Project Officer, ensuring contract compliance and timely corrective actions.

You will develop project plans, cost estimates, and budget recommendations to support reliability initiatives, and assess HVAC/mechanical systems for safety and occupant comfort in assigned facilities.

Qualifications

• Foreign education: show credentials evaluated as equivalent to US education or full credit given for courses.
• Applications may be accepted from students who expect to complete qualifying education within 9 months from the date of application.
• Education was completed successfully before the applicant can be appointed.

Responsibilities

• Directs facility maintenance and operations by overseeing contractor performance and ensuring buildings are operated to standards.
• Monitors contractor performance as Contracting Officer's Representative/Project Officer and documents deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Develops project plans, cost estimates, and budget recommendations to support facilities improvement and reliability initiatives. Evaluates HVAC and mechanical systems for reliability and occupant comfort.
