Job summary

Program Support Center in Rockville, MD, seeks a Supervisory Accountant to lead and coordinate complex accounting operations in support of DHHS and customer agencies. Telework eligible role with focus on delivering accurate deliverables.

You will mentor staff, drive workstreams within the FMP, and collaborate across PSC, OPDIVs, and StaffDIVs to design robust accounting solutions that address system errors and adapt to evolving policy priorities.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and execute complex, high-level accounting and financial operations in support of the DHHS PSC and its customer agencies.
• Operate within the FMP to lead specific workstreams or functional assignments, ensure alignment among team members, stakeholders, and customer agencies, and oversee the timely, accurate completion of deliverables.
• Provide expert functional, technical, and advisory leadership to team members while mentoring junior accountants and other staff on system functionality, ledger management, cost principles, and appropriate accounting practices.
• Collaborate with PSC, OPDIVs, and StaffDIVs to design and implement accounting solutions addressing system errors, standardize processes, and respond to evolving policy or programmatic priorities.
• Lead or contribute to enterprise initiatives that enhance financial integrity, operational efficiency, and stakeholder trust.
