Job summary

Program Support Center in Rockville, MD, is seeking a Facility Operations Specialist to oversee maintenance and contractor performance across DHHS facilities. You will act as a Contracting Officer's Representative/Project Officer, ensuring contract compliance and timely corrective actions.

You will develop project plans, cost estimates, and budget recommendations to support reliability initiatives, and assess HVAC/mechanical systems for safety and occupant comfort in assigned facilities.

Qualifications

• Foreign education: show credentials evaluated as equivalent to US education or full credit given for courses.

Key Responsibilities

As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will: Directs facility maintenance and operations activities by overseeing contractor performance and ensuring building systems are operated and maintained in accordance with established standards. Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative/Project Officer by monitoring contractor performance, evaluating compliance with contract requirements, and documenting deficiencies and corrective actions.

Develops project plans, cost estimates, and budget recommendations to support facilities improvement, maintenance, and operational reliability initiatives. Evaluates HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and occupant comfort within assigned facilities.

Requirements & Education

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
