Job summary

U.S. Geological Survey is seeking a qualified candidate for a GS-11 level facility management position in Michigan. The role involves planning and executing annual facility budgets and preventative maintenance, identifying FMMS projects for approval, and serving as COR for onsite projects.

Strong emphasis on building operations and problem-solving in a lab and office environment. The position requires related specialized experience or advanced education, plus the ability to manage maintenance

Qualifications

Specialized Experience Requirement: at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level and hours per week must be stated.
Education: Successful completion of at least 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, a Ph.D. or LL.M. directly related to the duties, transcripts required.
Combination of education and experience: compute percentage of education toward doctoral degree plus months of experience to reach 100 percent. Include hours per week and transcripts.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and execute annual facility budget and preventative maintenance plans.
Identify, justify, and submit FMMS projects for approval.
Troubleshoot and resolve building operations issues.
Perform maintenance and repairs.
Serve as COR for onsite projects.
