The State of Nevada, via the Nevada Department of Corrections, seeks a Facility Supervisor 3 at Southern Desert Correctional Center to oversee planning, maintenance, repairs, and capital projects. The role includes budgeting, vendor coordination, and directing security-related facilities support.

Ideal candidates will manage staff, schedule work, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion within budget, applying extensive facilities management and construction knowledge.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent, plus 5 years in building or facilities maintenance or construction with budgeting and scheduling.
• Two years supervising skilled trades and semi-skilled workers; or 1 year as Facility Supervisor II; or equivalent combo.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, assign and participate in skilled and semi-skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair or modification of buildings, equipment and grounds.
• Inspect facilities for deficiencies in structures, systems and equipment and ensure preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors to obtain estimates and manage budgets.
• Train, supervise and evaluate staff and review work.
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
